Background

Safeway, a national supermarket chain, introduced a new line of private labeled tortilla chips.

Challenge

Packaging needed to compete against national brands but due to production limitations, the package could not use a product window.

Solution

We designed a festive package with sophisticated colors and contemporary ”Southwestern” theme. To build appetite appeal without the product window, we created the illusion of a window by a clever use of product photography.
